2026/2027 GCEP Leadership and Advocacy Fellows
Sagar Mehta, MD
- Role & Background: Pediatric Emergency Medicine Faculty, Emory University / Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (completed PEM fellowship in 2024; GA ACEP PEM Representative).
- Primary Interests: Pediatric health equity and policy, social determinants of health (specifically food insecurity screening and hospital-wide intervention), firearm injury prevention, and legislative advocacy.
- Coaching Benefit: Overcoming institutional bureaucratic hurdles in implementing health equity initiatives and refining persuasion and stakeholder engagement skills when working with hospital leadership and state policymakers.
